Kirtan and Sacred Singing Workshop with Seabury Gould

Seabury leads uplifting group singing using Kirtan.

Kirtan is a genre of devotional singing of India involving call-and-response chanting and ancient Sanskrit mantras which call upon sacred energies.

Seabury has studied World Music extensively. He lived in India for 2 years where he studied Hindustani and Karnatic (South Indian) music. He studied with master teachers such as Ali Akbar Khan. He has opened for luminaries such as Robert Bly and Deepak Chopra.

Kirtan workshops with Seabury are presently on hold and will probably resume in the fall of 2010.
