Once again, we joyfully gather for the singing of KIRTAN!
Seabury Gould leads uplifting sacred group singing of easy-to-follow traditional Hindu chants in classical call & response patterns. Our singing is rhythmically enhanced by Colby Beers’ exquisite & groove-aware tabla playing. Seabury sings & plays guitar, bouzouki & bamboo flute.
We gather in Arcata at the beautiful house of Bruce & Chela: 577 Bayside Rd. To support our musicians, there’s a sliding scale donation of $10- 20.
Followed by veggie potluck & some very special time when Bruce blesses us with his amazing photography of India and shares about Indian spirituality!
When we sing these irresistibly sanctifying ancient Sanskrit chants, there’s always a wonderful experience of community, a feeling of connecting with Indian culture, and the reminder: NADA BRAHMA: Sound Is God.
I’m so thankful that we have this opportunity to enter into the divine Presence through music!
Let’s again enter that stream of devotion & consciousness that’s been flowing for centuries & sing sublime Kirtan together!
